U People Overview
Something extraordinary happened one weekend in the Spring of 2006 on Hancock St. in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. 30 straight and gay women and transmen of color gathered as cast and crew on what was a not so typical music video shoot. More than one camera was rolling and more than just music was caught on tape. U People is captured moments, candid conversation that expands the discussion of gay life and acceptance. Through these women anyone watching realizes that everyone is a "U People" if you ever have dared to stand your ground.
